Shenango Dominates DuBois to Stay Perfect in Conference Play
Sharon, PA – October 9, 2025
The Penn State Shenango Women's Volleyball team continued its dominant run through conference play Thursday night, sweeping Penn State DuBois in straight sets (25-20, 25-5, 25-4) at the Buhl Club. The victory pushes Shenango's record to 10-7 overall and a perfect 8-0 in PSUAC play, while DuBois falls to 2-19 (2-6 PSUAC).
After a competitive first set, the Lady Lions shifted into high gear and never looked back. Shenango's offense was led by Savana Shipman, who delivered a powerful performance with 15 kills, two service aces, and 14 digs, hitting an impressive .583 on the night. Setter Jadeyn Zepeda orchestrated the attack with precision, tallying 26 assists, six aces, and three kills, while Izzy Mauro added seven kills and two aces to fuel the offense.
Defensively, Shenango controlled the floor from start to finish, holding DuBois to a hitting percentage of just .013. The back row, anchored by Shipman and Jillian Palumbo, limited DuBois' opportunities and forced multiple errors, particularly in the final two sets where the visitors managed just five and four points, respectively.
The win marks Shenango's eighth straight conference victory, keeping them firmly in control of the PSUAC West standings.
