Penn State Shenango relied on a potent 13-hit attack and a gritty performance on the mound to secure a 4-2 win over Penn State Greater Allegheny at Pemberton Park. The victory moved Shenango to an 19-16 overall record and 12-6 in conference play.

While the opposition struck first with a run in the top of the opening frame, Shenango didn't take long to respond. In the bottom of the second, John Perry ignited the offense with an RBI Single to give the Shenango offense an early spark. The decisive momentum shift occurred in the bottom of the fourth inning. With the game deadlocked, Shenango's hitters found the gaps, plating two runs to take a 3-2 lead. An insurance run in the fifth provided extra cushion, as the pitching staff slammed the door on any comeback attempts. Defensively, the squad remained sharp, yielding only four hits throughout the entire seven-inning contest and navigating through pressure with a disciplined approach.

Nate Evans provided the heavy lifting on the mound, tossing six solid innings to earn the win. When the game reached the final frame, Brady Walker entered in relief, retiring the side in order to earn his sixth save of the season and seal the victory.
