Shenango’s Faith Sullivan Shines on the National Stage
The Penn State Shenango Cross Country program capped off its season with a standout performance at the 2025 USCAA National Championship, led by Faith Sullivan, who delivered one of the strongest individual efforts in program history. Sullivan placed fourth overall in a highly competitive 6K field, clocking a remarkable 25:12.60, earning national recognition and further solidifying her status as one of the top runners in the USCAA.
From the start of the race, Sullivan positioned herself among the lead pack, showing confident pacing and strong composure against a deep roster of SUNY-ESF runners that dominated the Top 10. Despite the front group separating early, Sullivan held her own stride for stride, maintaining a steady rhythm through the middle sections of the course and attacking late to secure the fourth place finish. Her time put her ahead of numerous All-American level competitors, marking her as one of the elite runners in the entire national field.
This performance adds yet another accomplishment to her outstanding season. In accordance with the national event, Sullivan also won the PSUAC Invitational. Her consistency, race intelligence, and ability to rise to big moments have been hallmarks of her season, ultimately earning her one of the highest honors in the nation — USCAA First Team All-American status.
