Shenango Volleyball Earns Major National Recognition with Three Postseason Award Honorees
Penn State Shenango capped off its 2025 Women's Volleyball season with a powerful showing on the national awards stage, earning three major honors as part of the USCAA Division II postseason recognitions. The Lions' hard work, talent, and competitive growth throughout the year were validated as Savana Shipman and Izzy Mauro were named Division II First Team All-Americans, while setter Jadeyn Zepeda earned a coveted Honorable Mention selection.
Savana Shipman's First Team honor reflects her role as one of Shenango's most dominant offensive forces. All season long, Shipman delivered high-impact swings, consistent scoring, and unmatched energy on the court. Her ability to take over matches with timely kills and relentless determination put her among the very best in Division II competition.
Joining her on the First Team is standout hitter Izzy Mauro, whose efficiency and presence at the net made her one of the USCAA's most reliable performers. Mauro delivered crucial kills in tight situations, provided strong blocking support, and consistently elevated Shenango's level of play. Her selection is a testament to her all-around skill, composure, and performance throughout the season.
Rounding out Shenango's honors is setter Jadeyn Zepeda, who earned a national Honorable Mention. Tasked with running Shenango's offense, Zepeda's leadership, precision, and decision-making were central to the team's success. Her recognition highlights not only her individual excellence but also the critical role she played in guiding Shipman, Mauro, and the rest of the roster to strong performances during the season.
With two First Team All-Americans and one Honorable Mention, Shenango's presence on the national awards list is a reflection of the program's rise, its depth of talent, and the dedication of its athletes. The trio's achievements speak volumes about their effort, commitment, and competitive spirit throughout the 2025 campaign.
A remarkable season concludes with national acknowledgment—proof that Shenango Women's Volleyball continues to grow, compete, and shine on the USCAA stage.
