SHARON, PA- Signs of the impending fall season are upon us. Students are returning back to class, county fairs are the popular local attraction, and the leaves on the trees are showing signs of a long and hot summer about to end. As well, the excitement of a brand new day in athletics is dawning for the Penn State Shenango campus as the Lion's Women's Volleyball team has begun preparation for their first competitive season in the new era.

First season Head Coach Nicole Nych has begun readying her new roster for their first competition. a Tri Match with Chatham College, on August 31st at 2:00pm. That match will be followed by another at 4:00pm versus Penn State-Altoona. Both matches will be played in the historic Steven A. Adler Athletic Complex on the campus of Penn State-Altoona.

The first home match is slated for September 14th at 2:00pm versus conference rival Penn State-Beaver at the home of the Lions, the Buhl Athletic Center. A pre game celebration is also scheduled in the Buhl Center parking lot from 11am to 1pm. Please notify Robin Criswell, in the athletics office, of your desire to attend at (724) 983-2817.
