Shenango Grinds Out Gritty Road Win against Bryant & Stratton–Syracuse, 75–71
Buffalo, NY- November 2, 2025 - Penn State Shenango officially claimed their first win of the season, closing out an intense and fast paced matchup with confidence and toughness to defeat Bryant & Stratton-Syracuse 75-71.
The Lions opened the game with a burst of energy and pressure. Oyin Adio jumped into passing lanes for early steals, and Samair Colon wasted no time knocking down a three on the first possession. Gabrielle King powered in back to back layups to extend the lead to 7-0, helping Shenango dictate the tempo right away. Syracuse battled back to take a slight lead at the end of the first, but Shenango's response in the second quarter changed everything.
The second quarter showcased Shenango's offensive rhythm at its best. Colon caught fire from the arc, King continued finishing around the rim, and Kayla Owen splashed a clutch three to widen the gap. Kimora Roberts attacked the paint with force, earning trips to the line, while Bri Krenzer added a smooth jumper late in the quarter. With multiple scoring options firing, Shenango dropped 28 points in the frame and carried a commanding 42-29 advantage into halftime.
Bryant & Stratton-Syracuse attempted a comeback in the third quarter, but Shenango always had an answer. Alyssa Crankfield steadied the offense with a strong layup and a confident pull up jumper. Adio gathered rebounds and made timely steals, Roberts battled for second chance points, and Crankfield anchored the defensive end with rebounds and a block that halted a late push.
