Sandusky, Ohio - Labor Day weekend, players on the men's basketball team made the trip to Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio. All members participated in the Park Operations "FUNraiser" for the amusement park. 

The point of this program is to assist Cedar Point in select areas including Park Operations, Food and Beverage, Resorts, and Games & Merchanidse while earning fundraising dollars for the program. Men's Basketball participated in park operations in which the areas of work included ride operations, sweeping the midways as a park ambassador, midway/pavilion trash collection and cleaning, and ticket-taking. "This is a great way for our members to work for additional dollars to purchase additional items that would be considered wants over needs," said Head Men's Basketball Coach Bruce Johnson. "It was a great way for the new members of our team to see our culture and get acquainted with our returners. This program is a win-win, because we felt as though we worked hard for those dollars, and we were able to enjoy the park as a team." 

Shenango men's basketball is preparing for the first day of practice set to begin on October 1st, and will be returning to the Shenango Valley for additonal community service events throughout the year.
