Former Sharon Native Commits to Shenango
Sharon, PA - Vince McFarland, originially from Sharon, now attending school at Nordonia in Macedonia, OH, committed to Shenango Men's Basketball on Saturday. Standing at 6'4", McFarland brings some much needed height to the Shenango squad. McFarland averaged 11 points per game and 7 rebounds per game at Nordonia High School.
"We are thrilled to add a Sharon native to our family. Vince's length, athleticism and versatility should fit in seamlessly with how we play on both ends of the court. Furthermore, he's a charismatic , positive young man who loves the game. We are hopeful that he can be a catalyst for this incoming class that we can build upon going forward," said Head Coach Bruce Johnson.
"I was born in Sharon and lived here until I was about 6, so I thought it was pretty cool to have a program here. Shenango has the major that I want and I thought it was interesting to compete in the USCAA and be apart of something unique," McFarland said about Shenango.
McFarland will arrive at Shenango in the fall and major in business.
