Junior College Transfer Commits to Shenango Basketball
Nick Leeders, a freshman at Lakeland Community College, commited to play basketball at Shenango on Saturday. Leeders attended Northwest High School in Ohio. Leeders averaged 11.7 points per game and 7 rebounds per game in his senior season at Northwest, which landed him an honorable mention for OHSBCA District 4 first team.
"Nick Leeders was the first student-athlete to commit to Penn State Shenango men's basketball this year and we couldn't be more pleased. Nick red shirted at one of the best NJCAA Division II programs in the country. The superior instruction and competition he has been exposed to will be very valuable to him but also to our entire program. His hard nosed blue collar style will be a great addition to how we compete," said Coach Johnson about his latest recruit.
Leeders chimed in, "I just love the vision Coach Johnson has for the program and the culture he has created so far. The players have been really welcoming, I think it's great fit for me."
Leeders will come in as a business major in the Fall semester.
