Junior College Transfer Ballard Commits to PSU Shenango
Coach Bruce Johnson has started off the season strong with his first official signing of the year. Rashod "Kyrie" Ballard from Laurel, Maryland committed to Shenango this past weekend.
Ballard graduated from Reservoir High School in 2020, where he then went on to play at Ann Arundel Community College. Ballard averaged 12 points per game, 4.1 rebounds per game, 47.5% from the field, and 83.3% from the charity line in his freshman year.
"We are extremely encouraged to be adding a proven junior college performer such as Rashad. We are just as encouraged about adding a strong student and high character individual. Rashad will give us more depth on the wing, we expect him to make an impact immediately with his athleticism, high motor and scoring ability," said Coach Bruce Johnson.
"I chose Shenango because I love the culture on and off the court. The team seems like they all get a long and they have fun and play really hard. Off the court I like how the campus is small so I can continue to focus on school and basketball. I also liked how everyone on campus from the AD, coaching staff, admissions and players all work together," said Ballard on why he chose Shenango.
Ballard will enter Shenango in the Fall semester with a major in business.
