State College, PA – September 29, 2025
The Penn State Shenango Golf team turned heads on Monday, claiming their first-ever tournament victory at the 2025 PSUAC Blue Course Invitational! The Lions fired a blazing 307, edging out Mont Alto (310) and DuBois (313) in a thrilling showdown. Shenango also finished ahead of York, Hazleton, Scranton, Schuylkill, Wilkes-Barre, and Lehigh Valley, proving they have what it takes to dominate the PSUAC.
The win was a team effort from start to finish. Will Perry led the charge with a 75, while clutch rounds from Bowen Briggs (76), Mason Vannoy (78), and Cody Anderson (78). Depth once again proved to be Shenango's strength, with Jacob Csonka (78), Tyler Evans (80), Nathan Stuyvesant (81), Remington Hart (82), and Faith Sullivan (99) all contributing to the team's first title.
Next up, the Lions will participate in Grove City's women's invitational on Monday, October 6 at 1 PM, before heading to the USCAA National Championships later this in October. Momentum is on their side, and the team is ready to ride this historic win straight into championship contention.
