SHARON, PA - It was a special night last night at the Buhl Club, as the hearts and souls of the Penn State Shenango campus were honored in pregame ceremonies before the men's and women's basketball games. Each player on the two teams chose one faculty or staff member from the campus that they believed puts forth extraordinary work in maintaining the success and well-being of the Penn State Shenango student-athletes, and campus as a whole. These individuals' work often goes unrecognized, but each one of them had their moment of recognition last night in front of a packed crowd. 

The complete list of honorees is as follows: Roxanne Atterholt, Tammi Day, Cathleen Fustos, Gizelle Dean, Evan Gruver, Erika Jones, Zoe Kratzer, Cassandra McCowin, Kevin McDade, Catrina Messett, Amy Nagy, Phillip Nash, Tony Paglia, Amy Petrucci-Effinite, Danielle Pettiford, Andy Puleo, Jay Roberts, Leah Sizer, Heather Stevenson, Iffath Syed, Richard Willis, and Robin Zambrini

Both Shenango teams dropped highly-contested games to PSU Greater Allegheny, the women 71-64, and the men 106-94. The teams have the weekend off and will be back in action next Tuesday at PSU Fayette. The final home games are Tuesday, February 21st at 6:00 and 8:00 PM, also against PSU Fayette, where the team's seniors will be honored.
