CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARDS LARRY RANSOM, JR LEADS PENN STATE SHENANGO TO A 77-60 VICTORY OVER SCHUYLKILL

SHARON, PA- Penn State Shenango kept pace with the other conference rivals on Saturday afternoon with a critical conference win versus Penn State Schuylkill, 77-60. Larry Ransom, Jr. orchestrated a record setting afternoon pulling down 22 rebounds and scoring 16 points for another double double on the season.

With the win, Penn State Shenango climbed to 10-10 overall and 9-5 in the conference keeping pace with wins this afternoon by first place Penn State Mont Alto and also Penn State Greater Allegheny. The Lions are now tied for the third spot, with Penn State Beaver in the division with five games left to play in the regular season.

Penn State Shenango also got a huge contribution on Saturday by Russell Gariepy with a 13 point, 4 rebound, 3 assists and 2 steals line and also with Anthony Bailey, Jr. logging 12 points as well before getting ito foul trouble in the later minutes.

Penn State Schuylkill (7-13, 5-9) was led by a solid performance by Khari Thompson with 11 points and 4 rebounds while David Ugochukwa added 8 points and 5 boards.

The Lions finally get a couple of days rest before going on the road again to face Penn State DuBois on Wednesday night.
